We continue with our frequently asked questions today, and this is a fairly timely question as we recently got a new name as part of our rebranding last year; Lighthouse Financial Advisers became Money Over 50 Financial Advisers.
This is a question we get asked a lot. When we talk about ‘product’, we mean any product or service that we recommend when we meet with our clients: superannuation funds, super income streams, account-based pensions, investments and so on. But the simple answer is no – we do not.
Another great frequently asked question – who exactly are our clients?
Some think that we look after people with a high net worth. And while in some cases that’s true, most of our clients would describe themselves as being ‘everyday people’ – they earn a wage in an average income job. We look after teachers, nurses, engineers, as well as people running their own business.
During our first appointment, we spend a lot of time asking questions. We always say that there’s no right or wrong answer, and this is true. However, we also get asked a lot of questions during these appointments, and although it seems strange, there is such a thing as ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ questions to ask your financial planner.
